Southern Trip to enjoy the Coastal Charm of Charleston, SC and Savanah GA!

Experience Southern Hospitality with Len & Sara!

Get ready for a one-of-a-kind journey where history, charm, and unforgettable experiences collide! Traveling with Len and Sara isn’t just another tour—it’s an adventure filled with heartwarming connections, incredible sights, and that true Southern hospitality you’ve always heard about.

Enroute on Sunday we will be visiting Tamarack in Beckley, West Virginia, for our lunch stop as well as browsing the offerings to give us the “taste of West Virginia”. Glass, carvings & artwork are available for purchase, or to just enjoy, at this vast cultural center.

Join us as we explore the best of the South, visiting Charlotte (NC), Charleston (SC), Savannah (GA), and Mount Airy (NC)—each stop brimming with rich history, breathtaking beauty, and delicious Southern cuisine. With 13 meals included, you’ll experience the warmth of the South from the moment we arrive in each city.

Charleston, SC: A Step Back in Time

Once called Charles Towne in honor of King Charles II, Charleston welcomes us with its cobblestone streets, historic mansions, and coastal charm. April’s perfect temperatures (mid-70s) set the scene for a perfect visit.

We will also be enjoying a wonderful Southern-style dinner, a horse-drawn carriage tour of historic downtown, a visit to one of Charleston’s most exquisite Antebellum structures, the Joseph Manigault House, and a stop at Patriot’s Point for a tour on the USS Yorktown. This Naval vessel is one of 24 Essex-class aircraft carriers built during World War II and is the fourth US Navy ship to be named after the Battle of Yorktown which occurred during the American Revolutionary War. We will be visiting a plantation and a tea garden as well as enjoying an evening dinner cruise. Our time in Charleston has been expanded to a two-night stay to enjoy even more of what it has to offer.

Savannah, GA: The City That Stole Sherman’s Heart

Founded in 1733, Savannah is known for its oak-lined streets, ghostly legends, and incredible food. So captivating, in fact, that General Sherman spared it from destruction during the Civil War, gifting it to President Lincoln as a “Christmas present.”

Here, we’ll enjoy a trolley tour, indulge in fabulous Southern meals, and set sail on a dolphin tour along the coast. Plus, we’ll visit the stunning Mercer Williams House Museum, famous for its role in Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil.

A Journey Unlike Any Other

Our Southern Experience continues as we start our trip homeward as we’ve upgraded inclusive tour which stops in Mount Airy, home of the Andy Griffith Show where we will visit the museum before dinner. From Mount Airy’s small-town charm (hello, Mayberry vibes!) to the vibrant streets of Charlotte, this trip is packed with moments you won’t want to miss. With Len and Sara as your hosts, you’ll not only see the South—you’ll experience it in a way that makes you feel like part of the family.
